Wedding favours can be a lovely token gesture of thanks to your guests for being a part of your special day.

Unfortunately they can often get forgotten in the excitement of the wedding so here are some inventive ideas from previous events that have proved to be both desirable and memorable.

Hand Made Jars

Our lovely couple Beth and Chris created their own handmade candles for their wedding, themed in the perfect shade of lavender to match their decor and finished off with personalised tags for each guest.

You can create your own version by saving jars, buying a small amount of supplies from craft stores and matching them in with your own decor or colour theme.

You can even encourage your guests to light them in the evening at your wedding for some extra sparkle on your tables! And if candles aren’t your thing, you can fill your personalised jars with homemade jams and chutneys.

Personalised Cocktails

Cocktails or mini spirits can be a great table favour as they are sure to be consumed and not left behind.

At a recent wedding for Roz and Dave they created personalised cocktail mason jars for their guests to use on the night and take home.

Other quirky drink ideas such as assorted vintage champagne glasses for toast drinks that also double as table favours or for the non-alcohol drinkers we have seen mini parcels of Yorkshire tea with personalised poems.

Floral Centre Pieces

If you would rather keep your tables minimal or if you are opting for an assorted floral display as your table centre such as jars with mini flowers, some of our couples like to offer these to their guests to take home.

A quick announcement at the end of speeches is all that is needed to ensure you lovely flower displays can be enjoyed by your guests for days to come.

Pic n’ Mix

For those couples with a sweet tooth a pic n mix station is a great addition to your day. Our couple Debs and Russell hired sweet carts with sweetie bags personalised with their wedding date.

Guests can then help themselves to the sweets throughout the day and take some home as their favour.

If you would prefer to have ready made favours you can also fill assorted jars with sweets and top them off with fabric in your chosen wedding colour for your guests to take away on tables.

Charity Donations

Last but not least a kind and thoughtful favour that our couples have chosen in the past is to make a donation to a charity of their choice on their guests behalf.

They then adorn each table with a note to inform their guests of the donation and the cause. Not only are you giving back to your guests but your guests will feel they are giving to a worthy cause as well and sharing the love.
