Having been to traditional weddings, when it comes time to planning your own ceremony you may feel a registrar led ceremony is not quite right for you. An alternative option which couples have explored at Long Furlong Barn is to hire a celebrant.
At our recent wedding fair we met with celebrant Claire Bradford who specialises in creating bespoke ceremonies for weddings and vow renewals. She will generally have two or more meetings with the couple to get to know them and their wedding plans on a personal level, which serves both to help her create a fitting ceremony and also means the couple feel comfortable with her on the day. Together they then create a unique ceremony, writing the couples wedding vows and incorporating any readings or symbolic acts. Current wedding trends we are told include sand ceremonies and unity candles which signify the permanent joining of the bride and groom and their families.
If you choose to having a celebrant such as Claire for your wedding you will have total freedom, not only to create any sort of ceremony and vows you wish, but also you will not be confined by time restrictions as other ceremonies can be. Claire is available to her clients leading up to, and throughout the day of the event, helping to make their day perfect.
